How Long will it Take for Recovery Post-Oral Surgery?

The type of surgery you select at our Calistoga dental office will determine the extent of bleeding and swelling, so gauze is typically given to control it. To minimize the discomfort, we advise you to use a light cloth when handling your skin, while taking ibuprofen can help reduce the swelling. We recommend using ice only for a short period; however, you may take ibuprofen for a week or as our dentist prescribe. Additionally, antibiotics may be assigned if infection needs to be prevented.
